“Giants Built on Grains of Sand vs Bedrock”
Happy Monday Morning
What if I told you that the secret to becoming undeniable has nothing to do with talent, luck, or even hard work?
Stay with me.
I came across a story last week that resonated with me. In short, a man who had built three separate nine-figure companies was asked the question we all want answered:
"What's the one thing that separates those who make it from those who don't?"
His response wasn't what anyone expected.
"You want to know the difference between dreamers and builders? Dreamers ask about the fancy penthouse. Builders ask to see the foundation."
You see, we live in a world that worships the highlight reel. We see the championship ring, not the 4 AM workouts. We see the IPO announcement, not the thousand nights of ramen dinners and rejection letters. We see the strong marriage, not the daily choice to serve when you don't feel like it. We see the men & women of unwavering faith, not the hours spent wrestling with doubt in prayer.
We see the financial freedom, not the years of saying no to what everyone else was saying, and following relentlessly towards a dream.
Here's what I've learned walking alongside men and women who've become truly undeniable: they all understood something the rest of us missed. The foundation isn't just the first step—it's the most important step. Because everything you'll ever build in life, every dream you'll chase, every person you'll become, will only be as strong as what you build it on.
And even more amazing, the research confirms what ancient wisdom has always known. Carol Dweck spent decades studying peak performers across every field imaginable. What she found should humble us all. The ones who reached the top weren't necessarily the most talented, the most connected, or even the most intelligent. They were the ones who had mastered what she called "the compound effect of small, consistent actions."
Think about it… A Navy SEAL doesn't start by jumping out of helicopters. He starts by learning to make his bed, sheets tucked with perfect corners. A master craftsman doesn't begin with cathedral sculptures. He begins by learning to hold his tools properly. The husband with an unshakeable marriage doesn't begin with grand gestures. He begins by listening when she speaks, really listening. The believer with mountain-moving faith doesn't start by performing miracles. He starts by being faithful in prayer when no one's watching.
The one with true wealth doesn't begin with millions. He begins by honoring every resource, money & time, like it matters.
The foundation is where character is forged. It's where discipline becomes identity. It's where the gap between who you are and who you're called to be starts to close, one small choice at a time.
I think about my own journey, and I can trace every breakthrough back to a moment when I stopped trying to skip steps and started honoring the process. The business success came after I learned to honor my word in small things. The physical transformation came after I learned to show up when I didn't feel like it. The relationships that matter came after I learned that small acts of love compound into unbreakable bonds.
The spiritual depth came after I learned to be faithful in the quiet, unseen moments.
And I can also call out the opposing events, when I foolishly spent time, money, energy, leading to failures, frustration, and loss.
This week, we're going to explore this together. Not as strangers passing by, but as brothers and sisters walking the same path.
Because that's what this is—a tribe of men and women committed to becoming who we're meant to be. And every day you choose to start small, to honor the foundation, to build when no one's watching, you're not just changing your life. You're changing your bloodline. You're changing your community. You're setting an example that ripples through humanity.
The Anvil is ready. The Hammer is in your hand.
The question isn't whether you're capable of becoming undeniable.
The question is: are you willing to start where giants begin?
Tomorrow, I'm going to share a mental framework that reframed everything for me—the simple system that turns good intentions into unstoppable momentum. But here's the catch: it only works if you're willing to start with something so small, most people would laugh at it.
